2010-This piece was originally titled Graveyard and is part of a series created as a personal project inspired by the woodblocks of Hans Holbien. The only materials used were paper and black ink. The start contrast was used to create a similar look and feel to the original woodblocks. Over the last 500 years there have been vast and sweeping changes in the media by which art can be presented and widely distributed. In the time of Holbien this was accomplished by carving lines into wooden blocks and covering those blocks with ink and pressing them to paper.

2010-This is another in the series of ink drawings. This one was originally titled The Nuns The series included over a dozen works and was featured on my personal blog. These images were inspired by a western source but can speak to an audience worldwide. Art and design have gone digital. We can use a wide variety of programs to create and edit our work and with a click of a button it can be viewed as clear as the original around the world. But the source of art, and the basics of good design have not changed. With both technical skills and inspiration we can share our vision worldwide.
